The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed and heightened liabilities within Indian society, requiring the deficit of correspondence in health, economic permanency, and access to necessary services quite proclaimed. Present chapter examines the vulnerability of COVID-19 from a social perspective by evaluating varied demographic classes such as the elderly, people with comorbid environments, poor people, and marginalized communities. We adopt a mixed-methods approach to explore the systemic inequities and socioeconomic features contributed to the susceptibility of demographic clusters both to the virus and its impacts. Present research work discusses community responses to the pandemic, aiming on grassroots initiatives, reciprocal aid networks, and government interferences that were portrayed to alleviate the waves of the catastrophe. Outcome of the study highlights the consequence of inclusive public health strategies that concentrate root causes and help build community resilience. Present work is accomplished by putting forward references for policymakers and community leaders to progress preparedness for any future public health emergencies, captivating a collaborative approach that lays the health and well-being of the most vulnerable units of society at the forefront.
