This paper aims to show, based on observations, that war threatens the achievement of sustainable development goals in the areas of biodiversity conservation, animal welfare, environment, agricultural development and rural development, not only in Ukraine, but throughout the world. It is proposed to show that all these components have been working in parallel at local, regional and global levels for several decades, through international agreements. It is noted that, in the context of a prolonged war, Ukraine faces major problems of imbalance in the local ecosystems of the Steppe zone, where major and constant military combats occur, taking into account that three of the five natural biosphere reserves of world importance are located in this zone. The data from the statistical analysis justify this imbalance, because they demonstrate the sharp decrease in the number of large and small ruminant animals that have been raised in pastures in this area, since the life and existence of the Steppe's wild fauna depends on the existence of these animals.

摘要
