Well-being refers to the experience of a positive state of health and vitality that arises from thoughts, emotions, actions, and experiences. It encompasses the quality of life, as well as the ability to contribute to the world with a sense of meaning and purpose, leading to a satisfying and meaningful life. Well-being is a multidimensional construct, and most existing well-being scales are deficient in a holistic assessment of well-being. The evolving science of well-being recommends focusing on the flourishing domain, which involves building inherent human assets to tap into well-being both as an individual and as a society. This study aimed to develop a generic yoga-based well-being scale, targeting implicit human assets: positive attitudes and actions based on inner powers integral to classical Yogic texts and taught in the Brahmakumaris Raja yoga meditation tradition. Ten experts from the Raja yoga meditation tradition with substantial educational backgrounds validated the scale. The initial list contained 70 items, and experts agreed with most of the scale items. After content validation and incorporating the modifications and suggestions made by experts, the final scale consisted of 45 items. In the future, the construct validity of these scale items will be tested with data from meditators and non- meditators. This scale assesses all the basic components of one’s well-being, including coping mechanisms, overall thriving, and sustainability. Being holistic, this scale is a potential measure for both assessing and motivating improvement of well-being.
