Modern organizations operate in a rapidly changing environment, where the growing amount of data and the need for its rapid processing necessitate the use of advanced IT tools. Data analysis and process optimization have become key elements of effective business management. The automation of data management processes often involves the use of various IT tools, including integrated IT systems. However, these are expensive and often require a lengthy pre-implementation analysis process. A temporary alternative are tools that are flexible and can be adapted to the current situation in the company e.g. Excel and Access. The main objective of this work is to automate the management of quality data for the storage sample archiving process in a food industry company using Excel. The article shows that automation has improved the quality of work and efficiency and saved time that can be spent on controlling current production processes.
