The chapter examines the transition from prompt-centric thinking to durable communication literacy, the need to adapt communicative practices to rapidly evolving AI systems and the broader educational and societal implications of widespread AI-mediated dialogue. It concludes by emphasising the decisive human role in shaping the future of AI communication through reflective engagement, ethical stewardship and norm-setting practices. Rather than offering predictions about specific technologies, the chapter highlights enduring communicative principles that enable humans to collaborate productively with AI while preserving agency, accountability and meaning.
