The Core Principles of Communicating with Generative AI
摘要
This chapter identifies and examines the core principles that underpin effective communication with generative AI systems. Building on the conceptual foundations established in earlier chapters, it shifts attention from understanding AI behaviour to developing communicative practices that support reliable, meaningful and responsible human–AI collaboration. The chapter introduces five interrelated principles: clarity, specificity and structure; intent, purpose and outcome orientation; iteration and refinement as communication norms; cognitive alignment and transparency; and ethical and responsible communication. Together, these principles address the interpretive, probabilistic and context-sensitive nature of generative AI and highlight the human user’s active role in guiding the interaction. Rather than presenting technical procedures or prompt templates, the chapter focuses on transferable communicative competencies that apply across everyday, professional and academic contexts. These principles provide a conceptual bridge between foundational understanding and the practical communication techniques developed in subsequent chapters, framing AI communication as a disciplined, reflective and ethically grounded human skill.
