This chapter analyzes the evolution of corporate interlocking directorates in Argentina and Italy from 1913 to 2010, examining how cycles of globalization and deglobalization influenced national corporate network structures. Using data from the largest 125 companies in each country across eight benchmark years, the study explores how legal systems (both French Civil Law countries), cultural similarities, and institutional factors shaped corporate governance networks. The analysis reveals that deglobalization periods foster denser corporate networks, particularly in Civil Law countries, while globalization phases diminish the importance of national legal systems as multinational enterprises become dominant players with governance structures transcending national boundaries.

摘要
