Climate change is an emerging global health threat that affects the HIV epidemic through various indirect pathways such as displacement, resource scarcity, and healthcare system disruptions, leading to increased risks and challenges for people living with HIV. This chapter reviews the current understanding of the effects of climate change on the HIV epidemic, emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary research and international collaboration to understand and mitigate these impacts effectively. The core of the chapter focuses on incorporating climate resilience into HIV programs, enhancing global surveillance systems, and developing policies that address both climate change and HIV to ensure the continuity of care and protection for vulnerable populations amid the dual crises of climate change and HIV.
