A 74-year-old man underwent excision of a large recurrent popliteal aneurysm and bypass using a non-reversed translocated Great saphenous vein (GSV) in 2016. He had undergone exclusion and bypass for a right popliteal artery aneurysm with autologous saphenous vein 22 years previously. Following the secondary bypass for the right recurrent proximal popliteal aneurysm, a surgical site infection occurred. He was treated with wound care and antibiotics. The bypass graft has remained patent for the past 9.4 years following the second operation for recurrent popliteal aneurysm.
