A 74-year-old woman underwent a third carotid operation following a primary carotid endarterectomy with Dacron patch graft in 2005 and a carotid interposition graft for recurrent carotid stenosis in 2006. In 2017, the patient developed severe stenosis with a thrombus formation at the proximal anastomosis of the interposition graft. Removal of thrombus at the proximal graft to CCA anastomotic site was removed, and a bovine pericardial patch was applied. Patient had no further recurrence till her death in October 2021 from metastatic carcinoma of the lung.
