Retrograde Superior Mesenteric Artery Stenting for Acute Thrombosis
摘要
Acute mesenteric ischemia (AMI) was treated with open thrombectomy of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA); early rethrombosis of the SMA prompted repeat exploration of the abdomen, rethrombectomy, and retrograde open mesenteric artery stenting. A small bowel resection for patchy ischemia of the jejunum was required. The role of endovascular first therapy for AMI is discussed.
