A 52-year-old man underwent left renal artery stenting for severe left renal artery stenosis with uncontrolled hypertension on 4 antihypertensive medications in October 2014. The patient had a prior right nephrectomy for an atrophic kidney. One year and 9 months later, the patient underwent renal artery stent angioplasty for renal artery in-stent restenosis. This was complicated by a subcapsular hematoma of the left kidney, which resolved spontaneously in the subsequent few days. At the last follow-up in June 2025, the patient has continued to do well 4 years following renal angioplasty for in-stent stenosis with preservation of renal function and no evidence of recurrent stenosis, with satisfactory control of blood pressure.

摘要
