Impending Rupture of Recurrent Right Femoral Artery Pseudoaneurysm
摘要
Mycotic femoral artery pseudoaneurysms may present with rupture with significant blood loss. Direct arterial repair is not feasible in most instances. The patient described in this presentation had a prior above-knee amputation; therefore, arterial revascularization was not necessary for an impending rupture of a large femoral artery mycotic pseudoaneurysm. Ligation of the femoral artery without revascularization following ligation of femoral mycotic aneurysms may result in a major amputation 25–35% patients.
