Graft Limb Occlusion of Thoracic Aorta to Femoral Bypass Graft
摘要
Thoracofemoral bypass is an uncommon operation best suited for good-risk patients with a satisfactory cardiopulmonary status in the presence of juxtarenal occlusion associated with symptoms of critical limb ischemia. It should only be considered if a standard aortofemoral bypass graft is not a satisfactory option because of multiple prior laparotomies with scarring, failed prior infrarenal or juxtarenal aortic reconstruction, infected aortic prosthesis, or other retroperitoneal pathology. The operation should not be performed in the presence of circumferential calcification of the distal thoracic aorta.
