The Current Intensity of AI Use and the Perception of AI Applications in Strategic Decision-Making
摘要
The aim of the article was to determine the impact that the frequency of AI use has on managers’ perceptions of AI applications in strategic decision-making. A measurement construct with four latent variables (AI Literacy, Trust, Perceived Benefit and Perceived Risk) was used to assess the perception of AI applications in strategic decision-making. Empirical research was conducted on a purposefully selected group of 218 enterprises in Poland, the respondents were people making strategic decisions in these enterprises. Statistical analysis indicated significant relationships between the frequency of current AI use and AI Literacy and Trust. Respondents who often use AI in many tasks or almost always work using AI, assess their AI Literacy competences higher and have greater trust in AI. The obtained results indicate the need for further education in the use of AI and building trust in AI. This is particularly important in the group of people with low intensity of using AI solutions. At the same time, the research results confirmed the irreversibility of the process of adapting AI solutions in the approach to strategic decision-making. Thus, it enriches scholarly discourse and expands knowledge in this area.
