There are multiple links between culture and sustainability, since problems related to the environmental care, economic development or wealth distribution have their origin in cultural activities and decisions (people and human actions). At the same time, cultural aspects are based on the ecological situation and socio-economic circumstances of the environment. This work examines the definition of these two concepts, culture and sustainability, explains the reasons why it is considered important to address its integration and shows different approaches proposed by the authors to establish their connection at a theoretical level.
