Morphological Diversity
摘要
Rubus nubigenus Kunth has a high morphological diversity. This is based on features such as leaf shape, prickles, flower, and fruit morphological variations along different regions. The current investigation was conducted near the entrance of Chingaza National Park in Cundinamarca State, Colombia. Six qualitative traits and 36 quantitative traits were measured in R. nubigenus plants. A total of 50 stems were used to determine both quantitative and qualitative traits. Stem diameter was measured to the nearest 0.1 mm from base to tip using digital calipers. The average number of prickles per stem was 44.3, the minimum was 38, and the maximum was 55. The mean, minimum, and maximum stipule lengths were 11.61 mm, 11.45, and 11.96, respectively. The mean number of stems per plant was 5.80. The mean lengths of the left, central, and right folioles were 115.8 mm, 64.96 mm, and 107.8 mm, respectively. The mean infructescence weight was 43.38 g, and the average number of fruits per infructescence was 7.75.
