Rubus nubigenus is a difficult plant to find, at least for the author, due to the obstacles for obtaining suitable plants for this book. The author had to search for the plant in different Páramos in Boyacá, Santander, and Cundinamarca States, and was only able to find it near El Páramo de Chingaza, Cundinamarca State, Colombia. However, it has been reported in other Páramos in Colombia, but due to social and violence issues, the author was unable to travel to such places.
