New Threats to Corporate Security and Critical Infrastructure Caused by the Development of Modern Technologies and How to Counter Them
摘要
This scientific research examines the impact of modern conflicts - and the new technologies that have emerged with them on the emergence of new threats to corporate security and critical infrastructure. A great number of conflicts around the world largely driven by the ongoing activities of major powers and, to some extent, smaller states and the rapid development of new technologies in weapons systems, military equipment, and various means of countering adversaries have given rise to new forms of threats, such as hypersonic missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, and counter-UAV systems. Corporations and large technical systems are not, and never will be, immune to threats emerging from conflicts between states or great powers, which inevitably spill over into and shape their business and operational environment. The development of new systems and equipment, enabled by the application of advanced technologies in conflicts where their real-world use and effectiveness can truly be observed creates an obligation for large technical systems to adapt their protection measures. Such adaptation involves changing how threats are countered, as well as introducing new methods and tools to protect business operations, assets, personnel, and staff within corporate security services environment.
