As normothermic regional perfusion (NRP) becomes an increasingly common organ perfusion and recovery method, understanding the surgical approach and considerations for transplant and recovery surgeons is increasingly paramount. Both A-NRP and TA-NRP offer clinical benefits to abdominal organs being considered for transplant; for abdominal transplant and recovery surgeons, having TA-NRP in their armamentarium of perfusion and recovery techniques will expand access for broader adoption of NRP in donation after circulatory death donors. The overarching goal of this chapter is to provide transplant and recovery surgeons with a pragmatic and experience-based guide to safe and effective implementation of TA-NRP in abdominal recovery.

摘要
