Design of a Grafcet-Based Ignition Control of a Water Tank Using IOT Sensors
摘要
In the design and development of modern solutions for process control, the use of GRAFCET combined with IoT technologies represents one of the most effective and robust applications in automation. From the perspective of a specialist in computer systems and electronics, this approach not only allows the sequence of operation of a system to be clearly and logically structured, but also opens the door to a more dynamic, intelligent, and remote interaction with the physical environment. The project is a practical example of how automation principles can be taken to the next level when integrated with connected platforms. In this case, using the GRAFCET model makes it possible to visualize the behavior of the system step by step, defining precisely when the pump is activated, under what conditions it stops, and which scenarios can interrupt or restart the process. This sequential logic makes it easier to program the microcontroller and allows for a better understanding of the system for both developers and maintenance technicians. From an electronic point of view, using level sensors connected through IoT technologies (such as ESP32, ESP8266, or even LoRa modules in rural areas) allows real-time monitoring of the tank’s status.
