With an Advancement in remote sensing satellite imaging and processing image technologies have opened the door to a new era of intelligent remote sensing satellites, driving their rapid development and expanding their range of applications. Since 2011, innovative concepts and cutting-edge technologies, particularly in intelligent and smart hyperspectral remote sensing systems emerged, aiming to deliver real-time, precise, and customized information services. Modern intelligent satellite platforms now integrate advanced imaging payloads, onboard processing systems, and interconnected technological chains, enabling seamless data exchange between satellites and ground stations. Such breakthroughs are bound to take remote sensing applications of real world to greater heights beyond government as well as industrial realms to reach large populations of individual users. However, with this growth, several challenges also arise, especially on how the privacy can be maintained, maintain society values and negotiate the intricate legal regulations that define the exchange and dissemination of data. Although designs that are intelligence oriented have made impressive strides, they continue to experience technical and regulatory challenges which need to be overcome in order to achieve their transformational potentials.
