How to Evaluate an EEG Research Paper
摘要
A good scientist must acquire a comprehensive overview of their research field. Consequently, evaluating research papers is an essential skill that is part of our daily work as scientists. In this chapter, we provide guidance on how to read research papers critically with a focus on the methods and the results sections. For the results section we pay particular attention to figures because not only do they contain valuable information, but they can also be difficult to interpret. Our aim is to encourage readers to reflect on why they are reading a paper, identify what they would like to learn from it, and to read its content critically.
