Every citizen has the fundamental right to vote, which allows them to voice their opinions and have a say in election or referendum results. It incorporates choosing political pioneers, agents, and/or making choices regarding matters of open arrangement. Because it gives citizens the capacity to specifically influence the political predetermination of their nation, it is respected as a vital component of any contemporary vote based system. This paper explores the scope and possibilities of e-voting in India, highlighting the need for electronic voting systems, cryptographic methods employed in ensuring security and integrity, and potential avenues for further research. With the increasing demand for efficient and transparent elections, e-voting offers a promising solution to streamline the voting process, reduce errors, and enhance voter participation. This study examines the connection between electronic voting and cyber-physical systems (CPS), placing special emphasis on how digital technology is incorporated into the conventional voting process. E-voting systems can increase security, increase efficiency, and provide real-time voting process monitoring by utilising CPS features. However, challenges remain, including ensuring accessibility for all citizens, addressing cybersecurity concerns, and building trust in the technology.
