No-Show Scenario
摘要
This chapter analyses a no-show scenario regarding the presidential election. It offers reasons that could engender such an outcome. These include the existing reluctance of the inheritance elite to cede power to other sections of the country, state-led strictures, the prevailing insecurity, and the call for restructuring of the country, seen by some as more fundamental than the election. It is argued that the combined effect of these factors could result in a force majeure.
