This chapter introduces the monograph and its concern with power as an appropriate analytical variable for understanding Nigerian politics. It acknowledges the scholarship on power dynamics in Nigeria, especially in the context of the 2023 general elections. While underlining the strength and limitations of the insights, it promises an exposé on the repository of power in Nigeria’s polity.
