The Role of Climate-Smart Technologies in Agricultural Development and Enhancing the Resilience of Rural Areas
摘要
The research examines the role of climate-smart technologies in the development of agriculture and strengthening the resilience of rural areas. Moreover, the research offers recommendations for enhancing the effectiveness of these technologies. To this end, the authors conducted trend and regression analyses using statistical data from five developed and five developing countries for 2021 and 2025. As a result, the authors constructed econometric models to describe the sustainable development of rural areas under the influence of factors related to the use of climate-smart technologies in agriculture, separately for developed and developing countries. According to these models, the authors conclude that the sustainability of rural development is determined by different factors of implementing and using climate-smart technologies in developed (the level of development of electronic communities) and developing countries (the robustness of financial support and the innovative activity of agricultural enterprises in adopting and using climate-smart technologies). Based on the constructed models, the prospects for sustainable rural development driven by the growth of climate-smart agriculture through 2030 are identified for developed and developing countries, considering their specific characteristics. Applied solutions are proposed to optimize the role of climate-smart technologies in agricultural development in both groups of countries.
