Redesigning Online Courses for Continuous Improvement
摘要
This chapter highlights the cyclical nature of instructional design, showing how evaluation feeds back into analysis and design to drive continuous course improvement. It emphasizes structured, evidence-based approaches to revision, using learner feedback, analytics, and assessment outcomes to guide both minor updates and major redesigns. The chapter incorporates Backward DesignBackward Design, Gagné’s Events of Instruction, and UDL principles to realign objectives, refine instructional sequences, and expand access and inclusion. Practical strategies for planning revision cycles, refreshing content, and sustaining course quality over time are provided to help instructors and instructional designers keep online learning current, effective, and learner-centered.
