Polyacrylonitrile reinforced silver-doped ZnO (PAN/Ag-ZnO) functional fibers were spun using well-dispersed polymeric solution of PAN/N,N-dimethylformamide/Ag-ZnO. PAN/Ag-ZnO was examined by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectrogram. Decomposition efficiency of phenol (Dp) was discussed under halogen lamp (435 nm visible illumination). We reported catalytic utilization of PAN/Ag-ZnO and its effect on Dp. The initial concentration of 7.8 mg L−1, dosage of 3.6 g L−1 and degradation time of 1.3 h were considered. An optical-based treatment of phenolic wastewater was supplemented by the aid of PAN/Ag-ZnO.

摘要
