This article presents a systematic literature review exploring the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within leadership practices to foster employee engagement in hybrid work environments. Covering publications from 2015 to 2025, the study follows the PRISMA guidelines to ensure methodological rigor and re-liability of results. A total of 21 peer-reviewed articles were selected and subject-ed to a detailed content analysis. The review highlights how AI tools are increasingly shaping managerial decision-making, communication, and employee sup-port mechanisms in hybrid contexts. Findings reveal that augmented leadership—characterized by the complementarity between human and artificial intelligence—can enhance engagement, adaptability, and collaboration when ethical, transparent, and inclusive approaches are adopted. However, the literature also emphasizes challenges related to trust, autonomy, and data governance. The study concludes by identifying future research directions and practical implications for organizations seeking to leverage AI for sustainable and human-centered leadership in the digital age
