The participation of the patient is very important for the treatment of the healthcare system that is focused on the patient and the health outcomes to be improved. The present research explores the pros and cons of the patient involvement in the process, and it gives the main role among these three aspects, the use of digital tools, provider communication, and the healthcare environments. The study relied on a survey of 130 patients, and the results indicated that there was no significant difference in patient satisfaction across the different digital engagement tools, however, the communication with the provider that was effective and the hospital environment that was supportive were the two factors that were very much influential in increasing the level of patient satisfaction. In addition, the study showed that the patients who were more engaged in their treatment were also the ones that had a positive experience with the health care and their emotional well-being was also improved. Major barriers among patient engagement that can be named are: patients having limited time, lack of education or training, financial constraints, and limited opportunities for personalized care. These findings highlight that man-machine interaction, individualized communication, and company support form the basis of such an environment which not only promotes patient involvement but also leads to improved healthcare delivery.
