Wildfires are increasing in frequency and severity, posing growing risks to communities such as Whistler, British Columbia. To support preparedness and community resilience, WISEC–a persuasive mobile application–was developed to translate fire safety principles into an interactive digital tool. The system integrates the four phases of wildfire management (Prepare, Mitigate, Respond, Recover) and provides survey-based assessments, personalized tasks, emergency contacts, social feeds, and wildfire updates. WISEC incorporates persuasive strategies including feedback, personalization, reminders, authority, and social proof to motivate user engagement. The platform demonstrates how mobile technologies can enhance community preparedness, improve communication during wildfire events, and support post-incident recovery.
