The need for greater production, sustainability, and efficiency is driving a major shift in the agriculture sector. A potent tool for overcoming these obstacles is Extended Reality (XR), a catch-all term that includes Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR). With the ability to overlay digital data over the real world or build realistic virtual settings, XR technologies provide cutting-edge solutions for remote help, education, training, and precision farming. In-depth analysis of the uses, advantages, and present difficulties of integrating Extended Reality into the agriculture sector is provided in this study. We propose and conceptually detail the Agri-AR Assistant, a WebAR prototype, to demonstrate the potential of mobile-based AR in providing real-time, context-aware information to farmers.
