Anthrax is a highly-hit plague in the rural areas of India where sanitation is a problem. Low awareness of people is the root cause for re-occurrence of this plague even after advancements of medical facilities. This paper analyzes the pre and post impact of sensitization of Anthrax disease on one of the rural village in India using machine learning models. The dataset was collected from a rural district of Odisha. Various ML models were used for classification of level of awareness among people depending on various factors. Hyper-parameter tuning and 10-fold cross validation were performed to enhance model performance. SVM classifier exhibited the highest performance with accuracy of 0.95.
