Cloud Investigation and Response Automation: Cloud Security in the Cloud Era
摘要
Cloud Investigation and Response Automation (CIRA) is a fundamental enabler of enhanced cloud threat detection and investigation, as well as response effectiveness. To this effect, adopting cloud technologies at the rate it continues to experience renders conventional security measures inadvisable. As Cloud infrastructure expands, it brings about new challenges, as it enables rapid configuration changes and the rapid spread of emergency threats. CIRA addresses real cybersecurity challenges using machine learning, automation, and orchestration tools, among other solutions. This study aims to investigate how CIRA is deployed and its effectiveness, examining both deployment by technology and operational execution and strategic planning requirements for maximum effectiveness. The study investigates two fundamental questions related to CIRA success factors of deployment and impact on effectiveness, and data accuracy of the IMT systems based on the secondary data collected through literature review and case studies in addition to industry requirements. This integration of repetitive processes enhances security incident management by improving detection quality and facilitating faster incident response, ultimately leading to more proactive and efficient incident management. This research also examines how organisations can utilise CIRA to resolve their existing cybersecurity challenges in a conventional way through the CIRA process. Automated solutions and advanced technology help improve cloud security, as such innovations enable firms to better face security threats in operational environments that are cloud-dependent.
