The results indicate that the innovative activities: internal R&D, external R&D and training for innovation are the activities that are positively related to process innovation in these companies. The research has theoretical implications since it allows us to understand the innovative strategies and activities that companies in the agricultural sector have carried out and that lead to sustainability-oriented process innovation, specifically developing internal and external R&D and training for innovation.
