Food security refers to guaranteeing access to safe, sufficient and nutritious food, respecting individual preferences, in order to enable an active and healthy life. As such, it is an essential aspect of a society’s sustainable development. This perspective includes concern about investments in projects that can promote food security in the world. The objective of this paper is to find projects around the world that have insights into how to promote food security, highlighting projects in Brazil. Furthermore, public companies and their contribution to projects of this nature were highlighted, also issues such as biodiversity conservation and climate adaptation. Considering the scope of large companies and their appreciation on the stock market, their contribution is essential to have financial resources for new and better actions to combat hunger. The results found show that there are projects focused on improving food insecurity indicators, with several aspects that can be used as a model for public policies.
