This paper aims to present AI tools to facilitate and optimize academic work with a specific focus on food waste. It is known that combating and reducing food waste is one of the objectives of sustainable development and Brazil still lacks many studies so that national policies and information campaigns can raise awareness among its population. With an average of 353 g of food thrown away per day by a Brazilian family, this work highlights the urgency of strategies to mitigate this action. In order to gather data from studies carried out around the world and to understand how waste has been tackled in other cultures, artificial intelligence (AI) tools were used to optimize data analysis and literature review. The tools used include Connected Papers, Consensus, Elicit, Research Rabbit and Orange Data Mining. The use of AI tools can not only speed up the research process of what has been presented as the results of studies on food waste, but also offer new perspectives for the formulation of effective public policies that promote awareness and other actions in favor of sustainability and food security in Brazil.

摘要
