摘要

This chapter develops the formalism for determining \(\gamma \) using a model-independent approach. It introduces the novel optimal Fourier method proposed in this thesis. By constructing optimised weighting functions based on event density and background distributions, the method maximises statistical sensitivity while maintaining model independence. The chapter compares this approach with the existing binned and Fourier split methods, showing better precision on \(\gamma \) .
