The current chapter highlights value-based health care for children with cerebral palsy. Key themes include the role of early diagnosis and surveillance, the importance of coordinated multidisciplinary care, and the cost-effectiveness of preventive interventions such as bracing and spasticity management. Surgical strategies for both the hip and spine are focused on minimizing complications and reducing the need for reoperations. However, rehabilitation optimization and long-term planning, including the transition to adult care, often remain underdeveloped, sometimes resulting in morbidity and additional costs. Value can be enhanced in the care of children with cerebral palsy by prioritizing interventions that improve function and quality of life while reducing costs.
