Deepfake Generation and Detection: A Comprehensive Survey
摘要
This paper investigates the emergence of deepfake technology, which allows for the creation of remarkably convincing fake images and videos. Deepfake tech has gotten good, making it easy to create fake images, videos, and audio that look real. It started with some fancy computer tricks, but now these fakes are so believable, it is tough to spot them. Additionally, new verification methods are being developed to authenticate content, identify alterations, and maintain digital integrity. Researchers are continuously working on enhancing classification models to detect complex anomalies, further improving detection capabilities. The study highlights challenges, including the rapid evolution of deepfake technology, the lack of standardized evaluation criteria for detection methods, and the need for interdisciplinary research. It emphasizes the significance of deepfake detection in safeguarding digital media integrity, with applications in law enforcement, journalism, and social media.
