Electronic Point Scoring Systems (PSS) are crucial in taekwondo, yet a standardized method for hit-validation remains absent. This research addresses the gap by developing an electronic helmet (eHelmet) focused on hit-validation. Three key studies— Robustness Testing, Sensor Placement, and Impact Classification—were conducted. Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) proved effective in taekwondo's demanding environment, with the back of the head identified as the optimal sensor placement for durability, cost-efficiency, and signal quality. This study presents a systematic approach to enhancing taekwondo scoring through advanced eHelmet technology.

摘要
