Computational models are now considered to be essential for modern biomedical and healthcare research, providing insight into complex biological systems that cannot always be readily achieved experimentally. These models, from molecular dynamics to systems biology to machine learning allow us to simulate physiological functions as well as predict disease behavior and drug discovery and personalized patient treatments. Computational medicine has been growing rapidly with the aid of artificial intelligence (AI) and mechanistic modeling. Furthermore, computational modeling can enhance diagnostic precision, optimize treatments, and aid in clinical decision-making. Biomedical research and healthcare profit from such strategies even if models validation and biological variability represent challenges.

摘要
