Europe is facing a multitude of challenges associated with the increasing average age of workers and the progressing digitalisation of work and private life. This chapter contributes to the aim of the book by highlighting the complex consequences of digitalisation for older workers, and providing an overview of the current state of theoretical and empirical research from a psychological perspective on the management of diversity and age diversity in a digitalised environment. The chapter presents practical challenges and theoretical perspectives on diversity in organisational contexts, current research on the utilisation of age diversity, and the potential for overcoming discrimination. We conclude that, to understand and manage the psychological dynamics of an ageing workforce in a digitalised workplace, diversity management needs to shift towards using digital technologies to foster an inclusive environment for all age groups.

摘要
