Supply chains play a critical role in connecting producers with consumers, ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency across each stage of production and distribution. The traceability process in the Mexican avocado supply chain enhances market access and enables local producers to meet food safety and certification standards. In this context, this article presents a lightweight and cost-effective traceability system that utilizes offline QR codes. The proposed system assigns unique identifiers to individual trees, enabling quick and reliable data capture of characteristic production. The system was tested in a pilot agricultural production unit, composed of 120 avocado trees, located in Huitzilac, Morelos, Mexico. Results indicated that the proposed system significantly reduces lot tracing time and minimizes registration errors compared to traditional methods. Furthermore, the system promotes sustainable and transparent production practices, aligning with Good Agricultural Practices and NOM-066-FITO-2002 standards.

摘要
