Statistical Analysis of Wear and Friction Characteristics in PEEK-GO-AgNPs Nanocomposites Using ANOVA
摘要
The PEEK (Polyether-ether-ketone) composites are widely used material for medical, automotive and electrical applications due to its novel advantages. In this study, statistical analysis of wear and friction properties of PEEK-Go-AgNPs nano composites is carried out using ANOVA. Prior to analysis, an experimental investigation carried out for different load, track diameter and speed. ANOVA was used to understand the significance of individual and combine effect of the parameters on wear and friction behavior. It was observed that the test parameters had strong correlations to wear and friction outcomes for the 3wt%. Composite with R2 values of 88% and 95% respectively. For 4wt%. Composites higher R2 values of 95% and 98% were obtained for wear and friction respectively. The surface plots and contour charts were produced to visualize the influence of respective parameters. The study finally concludes that PEEK-GO-AgNP composites are suitable for wear and friction application. ANOVA analysis confirms the significant effect of load and speed on wear characteristics whereas all three parameters load, track diameter and speed are influencing significantly on friction properties of PEEK-Go-AgNPs nano composites.
