Plant Production and Its Role in Food Sustainability: A Review
摘要
The increase in the world’s population, which has reached 8 billion, requires an increased interest in providing foodstuffs, and among these foodstuffs are plant-based materials, which have increased interest in recent years, especially cereal products and legumes due to their cheap price compared to animal products. The sustainability of plant food requires the use of advanced methods and techniques to increase production and meet the shortage caused by the increasing population. One of these methods is the use of modern agricultural machinery, in addition to the use of organic fertilizers that do not affect the properties of food products. Food products are very important products for the survival of life because they contain important nutrients that help to grow, build, and gain energy.
