The system utilizes wind energy as its primary DC input source (from wind to MPPT to 12 V dc battery to inverter), containing a three-phase inverter regulated through hysteresis current control. A rectifier circuit transforms the AC output from the wind turbine generator into DC electricity. The capacitor’s role is to stabilize the fluctuations in the rectified DC voltage. The inverter employs the hysteresis current control strategy to generate gate signals to the power, effectively reducing low-frequency harmonics and regulating the fundamental amplitude based on frequency. A voltage-to-frequency control strategy is employed to regulate the induction motor speed. Simulation results using MATLAB/Simulink demonstrate that a wide speed range can be achieved with the hysteresis band current control strategy, which also ensures low harmonic content in the motor current. These simulation results have been validated through practical implementation.
