Learning and Teaching Behaviours: What They Are and Are Not, and Why They Are Important
摘要
Learning is the fundamental concern of education, and it is clear from existing research that uses of digital technologies are shifting the ways that learners and those supporting them are engaging with and gaining from educational practices and activities. Digital technologies are influencing and affecting the ways that individuals tackle educational activities. These shifts are affecting learning behaviours, the ways that learners approach learning activities and learning needs. Learning behaviours that involve the uses of digital technologies can be exemplified, their importance can be demonstrated and has often been researched, and their impact on learning engagement can be observed. It is clear that different digital technologies affect and influence learning behaviours in a variety of ways. The breadth of ways suggests that the behaviours of those involved in educational support and guidance, whether teachers, parents and guardians, or advisers and policy makers, are shifting to more systemic-wide engagement.
