This chapter explores the concept of power. Specifically, it focuses in the analysis of power in alternating current circuits. From the analysis of power in purely resistive circuits to the analysis of power in purely inductive circuits, this chapter analyses the power triangle of R-L circuit, and draws the vector diagram of RL circuits. This chapter finishes by analyzing the instantaneous power in capacitor and inductances. We will review the reactive, active, and apparent power, and the power factor.
